Brand You: The Leader
Align Yourself: Don’t pretend to be something that you are not. Who you are at the office is who you are with the Whole Food’s cashier or your Abby the cat. Demand of yourself congruence between your self-image and your public image. Never fake it and be committed to living the passionate life you were born to fulfill.
Be Truthful: Have a good sense of who you are and what you stand for. Never cheat, lie, sneak, cover up, or steal. Sounds like a no brainer, right? Not really…just Google “Bad CEOs”
Share Data: Share your vision, goals, and metrics…successes and failures including financial reports. The more your team knows, the better decisions they will make for the company.
Open Meetings: Avoid linear meetings where you are informing or persuading only. Foster a work environment where communication is more of a negotiation where both receiver and sender are willing to create harmony and inspire change.
