Thanksgiving
Each day gives us special gifts that we can be thankful for. Enjoying the small things and not just waiting for the big achievements can enhance our wellbeing…basically, just making daily life sweeter!
Like most of you; I’m thankful for God, love, family and my home but I do take some of these for granted. Just imagine losing something that you do take for granted…your car, your eyesight, a loved one….Now visualize getting it back. How grateful would you be? That feeling is what Thanksgiving Day is all about. But, there is a catch, practicing gratitude is like exercise, you should do it every day. I want to be that way and am working on getting better at it.
In the meantime, those small things add up quick in a great city such as Tulsa!
A McNellie’s hamburger, Day Spring Villa, traffic light at 42nd and Sheridan, Tasha Does Tulsa, KFAQ, Cain’s Ballroom, Brookside, Sonoma, Sonic Cherry Lime-aid, TJ Maxx, Weber’s Root Beer, George Kaiser, QuikTrip, Cherry Street, Blue Dome, Braum’s strawberry shortcake sundae, Student Ambassadors, Villa Ravenna, John 3:16 Mission, BOK Center, Golden Driller, Woodward Park, Tim Harris, CFR, Sonic Blast, The Christmas Train, Gilcrease Museum, Philbrook Museum, Oneok Field, Riverparks, TCC (yes, I said TCC), my company Christmas party, Brady Theater, McGills, Utica Square, Sonic Chili Cheese Tots, Saint Francis, Redbuds, ORU’s praying hands, Tulsa Zoo, Mayo Hotel and TYPros. I could go and on…
Life, truly is a gift! Starting ASAP, I’m going to make every moment count and be appreciative!
Bye! Gotta go to Sonic!
This Sunday’s testimony at church was about the book of Job and how he lost everything. After losing everything he was still thankful for his past, present, and even future; and in the end he received big rewards. It was a great reminder on what Thanksgiving is all about. It isn’t about the material things in life as those things cannot give you the love that you need in life.
